What got you out running/walking for the first time?

I was recently divorced and needed something for myself that was a healthy habit.

What’s a song that helps pick up your pace?

I do not always listen to music but when I do it has to be something with a great beat.

What is the race medal you are most proud of and why?

My Modesto Marathon 2012 medal. I worked hard and trained hard and PR’D my time. I was so happy that day!!

What is your dream race or location for a run?

My dream race right now is Skyline 50K.

What is your favorite trail to run?

I would have to say Arnold Rim Trail at this time.

What’s your favorite race distance?

Half marathon.

What’s the funniest thing that has happened to you or that you have seen on the trail?

Wow, I do not recall anything specific. Just that every run I do I try to find enjoyable and fun. Even more when it is spent running with friends.

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t running?

Spending time with my two kids.

Who are your running heroes? Who inspires you?

I would have to say that the people who belong to this great running club are my heroes and always inspire me. But I would also like to add that my daughter inspires me as well. She runs here and there but does these amazing hikes on her own.

Describe the moment you realized you were a “runner”?

Probably after my first 5K, the Turkey Trot in Modesto.

What are your goals?

My goal is to complete my first 50K at Skyline this August.

What’s your favorite beer?

No beer but I do like Angry Orchard and Indigeny blackberry cider. Yummy!!
