What got you out running/walking for the first time?

My aunt signed up for a team mud run and asked me to join.

What is the race medal you are most proud of and why?

My medal for the Columbia River Gorge marathon. I wasn’t sure if I could even run that far until I completed the race.

What is your dream race or location for a run?

Iceland would be amazing.

Chabot and Reinhart are always good.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not running? 

Traveling, gardening

Who are your running heroes? Who inspires you?

The other women of DB. Prior to joining, I thought that Ultramarathoners were superhuman. As I got to know more people who have completed distances that at one time I would have thought impossible, I realized that they were regular people who just worked really hard.

Describe the moment you realized you were a “runner”.

When I started adding “just” in front of distances under 10 miles (e.g., just six miles)

What are your goals?

I don’t have any set goals. I just want to keep running and hopefully run a little bit faster and a little bit further each time.
