What got you out running/walking for the first time?
My dad and mom used to take my brother and I when we were young. Back then we called it jogging!

What’s a song that helps pick up your pace?
“Subdivisions” from Rush.

What is the race medal you are most proud of and why?
My Beer Mile medal is almost as special as my first marathon medal, the pain I felt was comparable!!

What is your dream race or location for a run?
In my dreams , I am super fast and can run tall mountains in a single bound.

What is your favorite trail to run?
The French Trail in Redwood Regional Park.

What’s your favorite race distance?
Definitely the half marathon.

What’s the funniest thing that has happened to you or that you have seen on the trail?
My cousin called me while I was on the trail with Jerome Hicks and Robert Root. Jerome took a photo of me on the phone. It’s been a “running joke” ever since! That picture has become my trademark. I’ll never live it down. Lol

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t running?
Hanging out with friends, wine tasting, being with my grandkids.

Who are your running heroes? Who inspires you?
My running hero is Nile Sousa. He is unstoppable, and a true MacGyver on the trail!

Describe the moment you realized you were a “runner”.
I am still waiting for the moment when I realize that I’m a runner. I’m just trying to be healthy!

What are your goals?
My goals are to stay upright and keep running!
